Gulf<\/strong>&nbsp;are about 1 to 3 hours away from Athens. They are very popular islands to visit throughout the year because of its proximity to the capital, its natural beauty and its cultural interest.<\/p><\/p><p>They benefit from the fact that the distance between the islands is relatively small, allowing you to experience everything they have to offer.<\/p><p class=\"translation-block\"><p>Of particular note is&nbsp;<strong>Aegina<\/strong>, known for the pistachios grown on the island, the temple of Aphaea, the Monastery of Agios Nektarios, one of the largest in the Balkans, and finally the abandoned town of Paleochora with its Byzantine churches lost in the woods of pins.<\/p><\/p><p class=\"translation-block\"><p><strong>Agistri<\/strong>&nbsp;with its less than a thousand inhabitants and its beautiful coves with crystalline waters.<\/p><\/p><p class=\"translation-block\"><p><strong>Spetses<\/strong>&nbsp;with its tradition and naval history and the picturesque old port. One of the things that makes it special is the prohibition of vehicle traffic on the island.<\/p><\/p><p class=\"translation-block\"><p><strong>Hydra<\/strong>&nbsp;one of the most romantic islands, stone mansions, narrow streets, beautiful beaches and a very cosmopolitan
