For eight days, we will walk in Saint Paul’s steps through Greece, learning about the various locations where the Apostle preached.
We will travel to Athens to see the site where Saint Paul preached as well as the wonders of the “Golden Age.” We will travel to Corinth, where the apostle conducted intensive missionary work for 18 months. We will go to the ancient city where Saint Paul worked as well as the agora where he was tried. We’ll also see the Peirene Fountain, the Apollo Temple, and the museum, as well as Mycenae, which is famous for its Lion Gate and Agamemnon’s Tomb.
We will also visit the archaeological site of Delphi, which has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as well as the Oracle of Delphi, which marked the center of the world. We will then proceed to the Orthodox monastery of Ossios Loukas, which was built in the 11th century and is famous for its mosaics on a golden background.
Our trip will continue to Meteora’s majestic monasteries before continuing to Vergina and Thessaloniki to see the church of Santa Sofia and the church of Saint Demetrius.
We’ll travel on to Kavala, where Saint Paul, Timothy, and Silas landed on the Thracian coast. Finally, we will go to Philippi, where Saint Paul lived, preached, and was imprisoned, as well as the Baptistery of Lydia, where the first baptism in European lands took place.
Day 1: Athens

Day 2: Athens City tour
Breakfast and city tour to learn about the wonders of the “Golden Age” and the location where Saint Paul preached.

Day 3: Full day tour Corinth & Mycenae
Breakfast and departure to Corinth, with a brief stop to see the Corinth Canal on the way. Then we went to Corinth, where the Apostle Paul lived for 18 months and carried out intensive and fruitful missionary work.
We will go to the ruins of the ancient city where St. Paul worked. You can visit the remains of 1st-century shops, the agora where Saint Paul was tried in the Bema, the Fountain of Peirene, and the Temple of Apollo. Museum visit.
The next stop is Mycenae, where we will see the Mycenaean Acropolis, the Lion Gate, and the Tomb of Agamemnon. Lunch can be had in Nafplion or Mycenae.
Arrival in Athens in the afternoon.

Day 4: Delphi – Meteora
Breakfast and departure to Delphi, where we will visit the archaeological site of Delphi, one of the most fascinating in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Delphi is a natural enclave of breathtaking beauty.
It is the site of the famous oracle of Delphi, where the conical stone Onfalos (navel) that marked the center of the world was discovered. Delphi was a sacred site dedicated primarily to the god Apollo, and it grew to become the most powerful religious center in ancient Greece.
Then we go to the Orthodox monastery of Ossios Loukas, a UNESCO World Heritage Site built in the 11th century and dedicated to Lucas the hermit monk who was known for his austerity and miracles. The monastery is famous for its 11th-century mosaics on a gold background, paintings, and the refinement of its decoration: marble, jasper, and porphyry floors. After lunch, we’ll head to Kalambaka. Arrival, dinner, and overnight stay at your hotel.

Day 5: Meteora – Veroia – Thessaloniki
Breakfast followed by a visit to the Meteora monasteries. Meteora is one of the most unique places on the planet. Meteora means “rocks in the air,” and it is a set of sandstone cliffs formed 30 million years ago under the sea. As the sea level dropped, these fascinating formations sculpted throughout history were revealed. These rocks serve as the foundation for the monasteries that we will visit.
Following the visit, we travel to Veroia, where Apostle Paul arrived after fleeing Thessalonica after being persecuted by the Jews. The old walls and its unusual Byzantine churches are notable.
Arrival in Thessaloniki in the afternoon, followed by dinner and lodging at your hotel.

Day 6: Vergina & City Tour Thessaloniki
Breakfast and departure for Vergina, one of Greece’s most important archaeological finds. It is a collection of burial chambers belonging to Philip II, King of Macedonia and Alexander the Great’s father, as well as other members of the royal family.
Arrival in Thessaloniki in the afternoon and city tour. We will go to the Church of Santa Sofia, the city’s main church from the 8th century, which has impressive mosaic ornamentation and marvelous capitals in its columns.
The church of Saint Demetrius, built in the year 500 on the tomb of the city’s patron saint. Next, we’ll go to the city’s upper reaches to see the Eptapirgion, a fortress that dominated the city with walls that almost reached the port itself.
As we descend, we will pass through the Arch of Galerius, along the promenade, until we reach the White Tower, the city’s symbol that was formerly used as a prison.

Day 7: Kavala – Amphipolis – Philippi
Breakfast and departure for Kavala (formerly known as Neapolis), where Saint Paul, Timothy, and Silas landed on the Thracian coast.
Then we’ll go to Amphipolis, see the Lion of Amphipolis, and then to Philippi, where Saint Paul lived, preached, and was imprisoned, as well as the Baptistery of Lydia, where the first baptism in European lands was celebrated.

Day 8: Thessaloniki. End of tour.
Breakfast and transfer to Thessaloniki airport to board the flight back to your destination.
