The trip begins in Athens where you will have two days to visit the historical center of the city, visit the Archaeological Park of Athens, the New Museum of the Acropolis and the typical neighborhoods of Plaka, Thission and Monastiraki.
The next destination is Naxos, the largest of the Cyclades islands and one of the islands with the best beaches of all the Greek islands. You will love the medieval castle of Chora, the villages in the interior and the endless sandy beaches and crystal clear waters. Naxos is the ideal island to enjoy the sea. From Naxos you can get to know by boat the paradisiac islands of Koufonisia, small islands with hidden coves, accessible only by sea. Water sports lovers can practice their favorite sport on one of the organized beaches and for those who like hiking, the interior of Naxos with its mountainous villages is ideal for walking, horse riding or cycling. Enjoying the sunset from Portara and having dinner in one of the typical Chora restaurants of the island with sea views are some of the things you can not miss.
We leave Naxos and continue to the Greek island Amorgos, the easternmost island of the Cyclades. A desolate island with very little vegetation, arid landscapes that contrast with the intense blue of the sea.
Hidden coves, traditional villages, old windmills, paths that link the island’s villages and 360 scattered churches with stunning views of the sea are some of the treasures you can find in Amorgos.
The capital of Amorgos, Chora with its labyrinthine streets, Egiali, the lively port of Amorgos, the main attraction of the island, the Monastery of Hozoviotissa, and the beach of Agia Anna where part of the movie “The Big Blue” was filmed, are some of the things that will make you fall in love with the island.
The trip ends on the island of Astypalea. Astypalea belongs in the Dodecanese islands but its architectural style reminds more of the Cyclades islands. It is one of the less touristic and more authentic islands. It is surrounded by beautiful beaches that can be accessed by road or by sea only. Some of the beaches of Astipalea are Agios Giannis, Vatses, Livadi, Agios Konstantinos and Kaminaki.
