Combined Trips to Athens – Classical Greece – Meteora
Above the narrow streets of Athens, the traffic and bustle of the people, raises the rock of the Acropolis with the Parthenon, the monument to eternity amid, the ephemeral life of the Greek capital. Join us to discover all the magic of the sacred rock of the Acropolis, the treasures housed in the New Acropolis Museum and the rest of the architectural wonders of yesteryear that lie between the avenues and buildings of the modern city.
Our journey in time will continue to the South and the region of Argolis.
Passing by the Corinth Canal, an artificial work that separates the Peloponnese by Continental Greece we will arrive at the Theater of Epidaurus. Built on the mountainside among the pines, it is considered the best preserved and largest among the ancient theaters.
Every year during the Festival of Epidaurus Greek tragedy and the classic Greek comedy are reborn.
A short tour takes us to Mycenae, with its imposing Lion Gate, the Tomb of Agamemnon and its Cyclopean buildings, and then to the Ancient Olympia.
The next day we will explore the Ancient Olympia Stadium and the temples of this place where the Olympic Games were born, before leaving for the North.
We will cross the modern bridge of Antirio River to go to Delphi, considered by the ancient Greeks the center of the earth, where a priestess called Pythia transmitted the oracles of Apollo, the god of light and the sun.
The next day we leave for Kalambaka and the Monasteries of Meteora where the spirituality and grandeur of nature combine to offer visitors an unforgettable experience.
After this journey through time and after having toured some of the most important and beautiful places of Greece, we go to Athens with a stop at the Thermopylae.
Day 1: ATHENS
Arrival in Athens and transfer to your hotel, our staff will receive you and provide assistance.
Day 2: ATHENS
Breakfast and free day in Athens to explore the city with the possibility of optional excursions.
Day 3: CORINTH CANAL, MYCENAE, EPIDAURUS
Breakfast and departure by bus to Corinth, where we will stop to see the Corinth Canal. We will head to visit the Epidaurus Ancient Theatre, famous for its perfect acoustics.
The next visit is done at Mycenae, where you will visit the Acropolis of Mycenae, the Lion Gate and the Tomb of Agamemnon.
In the afternoon departure to Olympia, arrival, dinner and spend the night.
Day 4: OLYMPIA
After breakfast, we depart to visit Olympia, which was a sanctuary of Zeus and where the Olympic Games were held every four years to his honor. We will visit the Boulefterion, the Palestra, the Gymnasium, the bathrooms, the stadium and the archaeological museum of the Olympic Games.
In the afternoon we will depart to Delphi, where we will have dinner and spend the night.
Day 5: DELPHI
After breakfast, we depart to visit the archaeological site of Delphi. We will visit the theater, the source Castalia, the old stadium, where the Panhellenic games were held, the Temple of Apollo and the Museum of Delphi.
In the afternoon we depart to Kalambaka, arrival at the hotel, dinner and spend the night.
Day 6: METEORA
Breakfast and departure to visit the monasteries of Meteora, to admire these fascinating rock formations on the top of which the monasteries are built.
After the visit, departure to Athens, arrival and overnight at your hotel.
Day 7: ATHENS
Breakfast and at the indicated time transfer to Athens airport.
