With the significant rise of gastronomy as one of the core points of attraction for Milos and a great variety of excellent restaurants on the island and, especially, in the area of Pollonia, this is a unique opportunity for guests to experience an original wine tasting session under the Aegean sun, gazing at the sea view.
With the help and guidance of a professional sommelier, member of the Greek Association of Sommeliers and Wine and Spirits Education Trust, a small and exclusive group of guests will embark on a journey to explore the most intriguing and representative Greek wines and cheeses.
Guests will have the opportunity to try:
Santorini: we will taste a wine of the assyrtiko variety, an excellent variety that gives the wines dense strength, high acidity, and the typical mineral character, thanks to the volcanic soil of the island.
Paros: we will taste a wine of the Monemvasia variety, a grape with many attributes, such as the fact that it is grown in an area that is not implicit in its name (Paros Island). This kind of grape gives fresh, emphatic wines in the delicate fruity character.
Samos: we will taste a wine of the white muscatel variety. It is particularly in Samos island where we can find this clone of muscat blanc à petits grain, the finest in the Muscat family. It gives wines with a strong character, mainly floral and fruity.
Crete: We will taste a wine of liatiko variety, from which wines stylistically rare with great balance and finesse are derived. It is a variety that will undoubtedly keep us intrigued in the future.
Along with the wines, guests will have the opportunity to try a variety of delicious and traditional Greek cheeses.
