Islands of the Saronic Gulf

The islands of the Saronic Gulf are about 1 to 3 hours away from Athens. They are very popular islands to visit throughout the year because of its proximity to the capital, its natural beauty and its cultural interest.

Of particular note is Aegina, known for the pistachios grown on the island, the temple of Aphaea, the Monastery of Agios Nektarios, one of the largest in the Balkans, and finally the abandoned town of Paleochora with its Byzantine churches lost in the woods of pins.

Agistri with its less than a thousand inhabitants and its beautiful coves with crystalline waters.

Spetses with its tradition and naval history and the picturesque old port. One of the things that makes it special is the prohibition of vehicle traffic on the island.

Hydra one of the most romantic islands, stone mansions, narrow streets, beautiful beaches and a very cosmopolitan atmosphere.
