Halkidiki, an intoxicating combination of blue and green, whose territory has the curious trident form. A pleasure for visitors with its lush forests that reach the beach, the golden sunlight reflected in the turquoise waters, a traditional style with a gastronomic and cultural heritage. You will find an abundance of coves, unique architectural sites, Christian monuments in perfect condition and countless unexplored treasures.

In addition, you can admire the traditional houses facing the sea, small hidden treasures and marinas along the coast in Sithonia, as well as some unique archaeological sites. These include the Ancient Olynthus, Stagira, the birthplace of Aristotle and Mount Athos, a unique Christian monument, intact by the passage of time and a living monument to Byzantine culture, found in the midst of unspoilt nature.

Halkidiki is also home to many earthly paradises for mountain lovers. Trails for mountain biking and walking, make their way through the forests of pines, oaks, firs and chestnut trees. Here you can feel the fresh air and fresh crystalline water that comes from dozens of sources so you can quench your thirst. If you want to stay in the mountains, take a look at the traditional houses in Mount Cholomon (Holomontas) and in other areas on the slopes of the mountain.

For those who want to feel the adrenaline and enjoy the Aegean intensely, they can practice different sports like: windsurf, kitesurf, diving and water skiing, among others; in the excellent facilities of Kassandra and Sithonia. Each July there is a large swimming event held in Toroneos, 26 km away, a competition that attracts swimmers from all over the world.

During the summer, there are lots of remarkable art festivals taking place in many parts of Chalkidiki. Music provides the main focus, but the performing arts are also prominent, and every summer there are outdoor theaters hosting some important performances.
