Itinerary
Archaeological Site of Delphi
We start our tour early in the morning at the designated pick-up location: your hotel, the airport or the port of Athens. Our destination is the Fokida region, about two hours from Athens. The Sanctuary of Delphi, located at the foot of Mount Parnassus, housed the most famous oracle in ancient Greece. Delphi was considered the center of the world. According to mythology, this is where the two eagles of Zeus sent from the ends of the universe met to find the navel of the world.
For many centuries, the sanctuary of Delphi, located in a spectacular landscape, served as the cultural and religious center of the Hellenic world, as well as a symbol of unity.
In Delphi we will visit the Temple of the Oracle, go through where there were once several small buildings called treasuries, visit the theater, the Castalia fountain, the ancient stadium where the Panhellenic games were held and the temple of Apollo.

Delphi Museum
The visit in Delphi continues at the Archaeological Museum of Delphi, where the offerings are found, "treasures" of the important cities of the ancient world, the Kouroi, Cleobis and Bitón, and the Delphi Charioteer, the bronze statue of the 5th century BC. exhibited. and one of the few authentic ones that still survives to this day.
Osios Loukas Monastery
After the visit of the archaeological site of Delphi we will have time for lunch in the town of Delphi and then we will visit the Monastery of Osios Loukas, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. It is one of the most beautiful Byzantine monasteries and is known for its decoration, its mosaics on a golden background and its paintings. Return to Athens in the afternoon.
